August in Emilia between riding and adventure

Have not you organized anything yet for this August? You are still in time to decide to admire the wonders of Emilia.

What to do during the summer around Reggio Emilia

“Malpasso’s Trail” is what you were looking for if you are expert hikers. The rocky wall of Malpasso is waiting for you, with a suspended bridge made of wood and rope, and the thermal springs of Quara.

Do you like fishing? Then, the right place for you is within easy reach of the “Locanda Le Due Querce” where the rivers Secchia, Dolo and Dragone cross.

Horse riding service for hikers

This trail, which connects the main sites, is ideal for trekking and biking enthusiasts. The Trails of Matilde are also the perfect meeting place for those who like to go horseback, but at the same time want to admire historic monuments such as the “Castello di Sarzano, the seat of the power of Matilde di Canossa” and the “Pieve di Santa Maria di Toano” Example of Romanesque architecture.

“Locanda Le Due Querce” offers a stable and a horse-riding service so that the horse can rest and eat during stops.

Cerwood Adventure Park

You must then bring your children to the fantastic Cerwood adventure park. The park, a few kilometers from Toano, is located in the heart of the Tosco-Emiliano National Park of the Aventino and is the ideal destination for the fun of young and old.

It is the largest adventure park in Italy where more than 220 games await you. All activities are carried in total safety, with the help of special equipment and constant support of the instructors.

Within the structure you can make wonderful walks between “secular beech trees and oligomineral water springs”. In several areas you will also find picnic areas with tables, benches and barbecues.

If your children love fairies and gnomes, then the “Gnomic Trail” inside the park is a must-have. Remember, however, that you need to book.

Relax at Locanda Le Due Querce

After walks, hikes and games you will definitely need to relax and put something under your teeth.
We then recommend the restaurant of our Locanda Le Due Querce. Here you can taste typical local dishes, homemade egg pasta, and second courses of meat and game. All accompanied by an excellent bottle of wine.

At the inn, your children will have the chance to run freely in the meadows and play on slides and swings and, if they so wish, will be able to feed lambs.
