Emilian lands are rich in gastronomic traditions from which many products are now famous all around the world. Particularly in Reggio Emilia we have the “new” Pan Del Re – a special italian bread from this area. On the occasion of the Bread Festival held in Reggio Emilia a new biological and zero mile Pan del Re has been presented.
Created with a specific brand name, the new Pan del Re is distributed only in the adjacent areas from the production site. This to preserve the environmental impact. This regional bread maximizes the exploitation of local resources and other breads.
Additionally, this bread is naturally leached without additives or animal fats and can only contain natural olive oil. Pan del Re is born with the intent of creating a traceable product for which the final consumer will be able to know all the stages of processing and the origin of the ingredients used.
Another remarkable product of the emilian food and wine panorama is the famous balsamic vinegar obtained from grape musts taken exclusively from Lambrusco, Sangiovese, Trebbiano, Albana, Ancellotta, Montuni and Fortana grapes labeled “Protected Geographical Indication”. Obtained by a very long aging process (almost twelve years) of cooked must. The result is a high-quality, syrupy, dark-colored product with intense scent and unmistakable sweet-sour taste.
