Snowshoeing in the park of the Apennines

Sweet sunny slopes, dense woods and creeks: in this context were born some of the most significant artistic works of the Renaissance period, and it is always here that in historical, cultural and nature, stands our Locanda Le Due Querce, closed for the winter period up to Easter.

National Park of the Tuscan-Emilian

A surprise to be savored, thanks to the many initiatives that the area offers and the many proposals of the National Park of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines, UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.
In the new area, which involves the towns of Busana, Castelnovo Neither Monti, Collagna, Ligonchio, Ramiseto and Villa Minozzo, offers educational activities for all events. You can participate in hiking, horseback riding, Nordic walking sessions and snowshoeing.

Tuscan-Emilian Apennines on snowshoes

To enjoy the fresh snow, there is nothing better than the snowshoe hike on Saturday 28th of January. ‘The dark night‘ is the perfect locanda-due-querce-ciaspoleopportunity to discover the beauty of the park, under a sky full of stars. If you prefer to taste the best of our culinary tradition, you should choose ‘Ciaspolenta‘, scheduled for Sunday the 29th of January 29 and Sunday the 19th of February. A tasty snowshoes departing from Villa Minozzo, made famous by the presence of the lifts. The walk will enter the heart of the protected area and will reward its participants with a typical lunch of local polenta.

Next, in this enchanted season you can participate in the excursion ‘Abetina snowshoe’ on Sunday the 5th of February. To reach the Royal Abetina we will start from Civago, the hamlet of Villa Minozzo which extends to the inner limit of the Dolo valley, one of the most picturesque of the area.

Nighttime snowshoeing

With ‘Howling at the moon‘, you will have the chance to enjoy an exciting tour under the moon, scheduled for Saturday, the 11th of February, starting from Villa Minozzo. A route out of the ordinary, to be transformed into a romantic weekend with ‘Lunata’ (from Saturday, February 11 to Sunday, February 12). But it will be ‘Snowshoeing under the full moon‘ to allow you to admire the beautiful haze that envelops the Calamone lake and the woods of bleached beech trees surrounding Mount Ventasso.

Carnival on snowshoes

During Carnival, adults and children are expected to ‘Masquerade Snowshoeing’ departing from Ventasso, snowshoe hiking illuminated by the full moon, thanks to the support of the historic Nevediversa campaign Legambiente. While Sunday, February the 26th will return to Villa Minozzo for ‘Ciaspotortellata’.
